FAITH OVER FEAR — WHAT FOOTBALL TAUGHT ME ABOUT LIFE

When I first stepped onto an NFL field as an undrafted rookie, fear was my loudest opponent. It wasn’t the crowd, the pressure, or even the hits — it was the quiet voice that said, “You’re not supposed to be here.”
But I learned something powerful during those moments: faith silences fear. Not because the fear disappears, but because faith gives you the strength to move forward anyway.
Coming from Tiffin University — a small school with big dreams — I had no guarantees. Every day was a fight to prove I belonged. But instead of letting fear control me, I focused on what I could control: effort, attitude, and belief.
That same mindset helped me rise from undrafted beginnings to becoming a two-time Super Bowl Champion. Not because I was the most talented — but because I refused to quit when life tried to tackle me.
Faith taught me that setbacks aren’t signs to stop — they’re signals to trust.
